You likely think of Neos as an eco village, a retreat center, a homestead, a healthier way of living — or a utopia, a place for dreamers and escapists.

It doesn’t matter. The ‘what’ has never been the point. It’s the why that matters.

Something has gone deeply wrong

The world is digressing. Not slowly, quietly, in ways we can ignore. Loudly. Visibly. Depression, loneliness and meaninglessness rising year on year. Wars multiplying. Profit over everything.

A species with more capability than ever before — and less peace, less meaning, less genuine connection than at almost any point in history.

The West is collapsing into the two-tier society it once scorned in the developing world. The majority struggling. A vanishingly small few holding more power and money than any human should.

Where are we heading?

AI and robotics, promising liberation — but pointing, given our current values and power structures, toward something else entirely: A world where most humans have been economically replaced. Where survival depends on conditional basic income, controlled by programmable money, issued by institutions that have never had your freedom as their primary concern. A digitally administered cage.

Why are we doing this to ourselves?

There are a many reasons. But at the root, there is only one: we have forgotten who we are.

As long as I experience myself as separate — from others, from nature, from the source of life itself — I will keep fighting. Keep destroying. Keep reaching for control because I am terrified of what happens if I let go.

You are powerful beyond measure

Karen and I have both been gifted and challenged with touching what the ancient texts call oneness. The direct, unmediated experience that the human self is not the whole of what I am. That beneath the story of a separate person, fighting for survival, there is something eternal, unified and infinite.

You cannot think your way to this. You can only experience it.

And when you do, everything changes. The meaning of life stops being about accumulation and power and becomes evolution and service. Being my most shining, fully expressed self in service of something greater becomes the purpose of life.

How do we turn things around?

This is the only real response to what is happening in the world. Not a political answer. Not a technological answer. It’s about consciousness.

News, media and politics keep us in fear because fear keeps us small. An awakened person cannot be controlled. This is why the inner work is not a luxury — it is the most powerful act available to us.

This is why Neos is not primarily a place to rest, though rest happens here. It is a place to remember. To practice. To become, with real support, more fully what we already are.

A place to Wake Up

Neos exists for one reason: to help us wake up from the dream of separation.

When enough of us remember who we truly are, the world will change — not because someone forced it to, but because a world full of awakened beings simply cannot sustain war, extraction and fear. It has no soil to grow in.

If most of us stop believing in war, there will be no more war. This is not naive but the most real thing I know.

A path full of challenges

Making this real is the hardest thing we will ever do.

The physical creation of the village — the planning, the financing, the building — is one kind of hard. But the real challenge is subtler and much more relentless: showing up as a conscious, open-hearted human being amidst all these challenges, when cows are dying, money is short and people let you down — all at once.

And yet:

Everything is a gift

The person who hurt me taught me about attachment. The money I lost taught me about fear and faith. The plans that collapsed taught me to hold vision without grasping. I needed to lose millions and let go of everything before Neos could be born. Everything is a gift on the journey of remembering.

Whatever you are carrying right now — it is not punishment. It is curriculum. The universe does not waste experience on anyone it believes cannot grow from it.

Neos is made for us

The world does not need another retreat centre.

It needs places where human beings can remember, in their hearts, minds and bodies, what they actually are.

Ancient past and future of the region

I recently visited nearby Almendres Cromlech — one of the oldest and most mysterious megalithic complexes in Europe, and no doubt connected to the sacred dolmens on our land.

Arranged in quiet, elliptical patterns across the landscape, its standing stones are believed to have been used for ceremonial, astronomical, and spiritual purposes — aligned with the movements of the sun and seasons.

There is a palpable stillness and power there, as if the site holds a memory of ancient ways of relating to the Earth: slower, attuned, and deeply reverent. Yet I sensed not just history, but a continuity into the future, as if the illusion of time and space were altogether collapsed there, offering a transcendental relationship between human life and the rhythms of creation.

This too is symbolic of Neos, where the ancient past and sacred future merge together. We highly recommend a visit before or after your stay with us.

Neos Development Update

We are entering an important and energising new phase at Neos.

Since arriving last late Spring, our focus has necessarily been on the immediate, practical realities of the land — understanding the property, establishing animal care systems, carrying out essential renovations, and creating a functional base for retreats and guests.

As a result, much of the higher-level work — vision articulation, strategic planning, hiring, and program development — didn’t receive the best of our attention.

In my work, I deeply advocate project development to unfold across three levels: a clearly defined vision, the cultural principles that support it, and the practices that bring it into lived reality. Ideally, these layers are developed in sequence, with strong foundations preceding operational activity.

In our case, once on the land, the process unfolded in reverse. While this accelerated certain aspects of implementation, it also led to periods of overextension, misalignment, and the need to make decisions without a fully established framework. It was everything that we didn’t want — but sometimes the universe sets you up that way regardless!

This also meant that many of the enquiries we received — particularly from those interested in joining the team or becoming future village residents — did not receive the response they deserved.

That phase has now largely stabilised. We have built a functional operational base in a relatively short period, and we are now returning to the deeper strategic work that underpins the long-term integrity of the project.

Our focus now is on refining the vision, clarifying structures, and shaping the next phase of Neos with greater coherence and intention. This includes developing the village offering, defining pathways for future residents, and opening up more clearly structured opportunities for those who feel called to co-create.

For those who reached out previously — and for those discovering Neos now — the best way to connect at this stage is again through joining a Neos Experience Retreat. This allows us to spend valuable time together in person, on the land, to explore alignment in a more grounded and meaningful way as we step into this next chapter.

The wondrous thing about creating an entire large-scale ecovillage vision is that it’s like creating a world — a universe within a universe. You create a potent container for everything to play out according to the experience your creator self is manifesting for you.

No matter how deeply its cocreators may be motivated by the intention to ‘simply’ regenerate the land, restore ecosystems, serve Mother Earth with abundant food systems, and build a beautiful place for people to live and thrive in, our creator selves always have a more profound agenda: to heal and become whole within our own selves and self-expression.

Never ever has a project like this, despite a core part of the vision being about serving nature, avoided the work of the relational dimension. This is always the deeper plan of the universe, because they are inescapably interconnected. We cannot create outer wholeness from inner separation, outer beauty from inner chaos.

Within a community ecosystem we will always find karmic or dharmic matches with whom to play key roles for/with us — souls that say yes to helping us to find our inner truth, from the places where we are not yet free.

To be human is to be somewhat crazy — as quantum beings no two people are having the same experience, and any understanding or sense of shared reality is a gift, not a given.

Even a simple conversation is rarely just a simple conversation. It is whole ecosystem of energetic exchange, overflowing with story, projections and programming.

In modern lives we can easily hide from this, isolating ourselves in cities of concrete boxes where people instead become disconnected and depressed. Or we ascend above the earthly realm to be one with Source in ashrams or other sacred places, saying a quiet, elegant, ‘fuck this’ to the messiness of human relationships.

But the invitation from life herself at this time is not to escape, but to dive right into the core of it and reclaim the blueprint, redefine what it means, reimagine its beauty. Become new humans— with each other. Only then will we create a ‘New Earth.’

There is vast, untapped joy and enlivenment to be found if we dare look deep enough and commit to the actions together.

Reaching for the North Star

One way this is going to manifest at Neos is through the north star of our five cultural principles, the New Earth Ways. It is through tuning in to deeper truth, finding reverence for life energy, becoming embodied in ourselves, respecting the natural cycles of life, and bringing our gifts to the world that we will uncover a more beautiful way to live together:

1. Consciousness, of being present and tuned into the quantum intelligence operating through, around, and for us at all times.

2. Sacredness, for all of life in all her diverse forms. Through gratitude and respect we find reverence and honour, leading us to nobility and sacred relationship.

3. Embodiment, of our authentic unique blueprint, our divinely given self-design, fully realised and expressed through all we are and do.

4. Balance, of the multiple forces within us that ebb and flow in perfect natural rhythm. The unity of feminine with masculine, light with dark.

5. Creation, of our Dharmic gifts arising out of pure inspiration to contribute more beauty, more harmony and elevation in the world.

These principles are based on the wisdom inherent in the laws of nature and quantum intelligence. They are our path to wholeness and joy, crystallised as five petals of wisdom on the flower of the new creation being birthed through us.

Together we cultivate them through the process of self-enquiry and supportive practices.

Creating abundant food forests

We’d love to complete this newsletter on creating healthy social ecosystems with some exciting news: our vision for food forest gardens is beginning to come alive.

What started as drawings, conversations, and dreams is now slowly becoming a living landscape that will nourish both people and the land for generations to come.

Our vegetable garden is beginning to thrive, quietly reminding us of the beauty of simple cycles and giving loving attention — planting, tending, harvesting.

Soon, we’ll also begin developing a sensorial meditation fruit garden — a place to invite presence and a deeper relationship with nature — with a rich variety of species, including goji berry, currant and blueberry bushes, apricot, raspberry, carob, mango, passionfruit vines, pear nachi, and clementine. Alongside these, we’ll plant supportive species such as tagasaste, and buddleias to help regenerate soil, support pollinators, and strengthen the ecosystem as a whole.

In the coming planting cycles, we will be creating a forest of edible trees along the river to enrich biodiversity, restore ecological balance, and create a more abundant and diverse landscape. Over time, this area will become a thriving corridor of life — providing habitat, shade, nourishment, and beauty.

For now we started with willow and poplar cuttings along the river edge, gifted by our syntropic friend Marc Leiber, who lives in a nearby farm.

It’s a beautiful reminder that regeneration happens step by step, season by season, through care, patience, and vision.

The start of the journey: raw and real

Only 7 months in since we arrived on the neos land, we’ve recently started a video blog series on our new YouTube channel. With dramatic titles like ‘A village bigger than Monaco’ (something we cringed at but are trusting our media team!) — they are causing a stir.

Each episode shows the nascent day-to-day life of manifesting the vast vision of Neos into material form. To give people an honest insight into the journey at this very early stage, it’s down-to-earth, raw, and whilst not reflective of how things will be in 5 or even 2 years, it nonetheless honours this tender beginning of an enormous dream.

The views have skyrocketed, with more and more people being inspired and supportive towards the project, and — as is always the case, the comment section beautifully encapsulates the plethora of human projections about what we’re doing.

It is testament to the power of the vision how stirred people are about such a project. Even negative projections have their place — for the person projecting them, to feel alive about something.

Staying true to one’s purpose

Having a very public facing project is also excellent practice for the inner work of freeing ourselves from the opinion of ‘the other.’ One of the greatest sources of human pain in the relational dimension is the way we take things personally when our need for being seen, understood, and valued isn’t met. Yet all we ever do as humans is project onto reality; we never actually see anything non-subjectively.

One of the greatest lessons for inner freedom lies in the paradox of ‘it’s not about them’ — even though everything is for them. What I mean by this is that everything I do, and am, is a flow of life force energy coming through me from a higher / quantum source — it simply is, sufficient unto itself. It requires no fixed outcome or external understanding. And yet, paradoxically, it is in service to that which is outside of me, even if it’s not understood.

Intentional communities, and centres of educational and embodied practices whose mission is to serve positive change have always activated other people who similarly challenge the status quo.

With Neos the activists and new age folk project their fantasy of a spiritual commune, imagining anyone can just come and we’ll all build community together from the ground up. The idealogical analysts project a money-making agenda hidden behind conscious gloss. Some see modern colonialism, and some, an opportunity to escape lives that no longer makes sense and live in a peaceful bubble.

Simply, service to life

What we’re slowly building, one step at a time, is not any of these things. On the practical level, it comprises a professionally-run guest center for retreats and trainings, and a future community-led village. Yet its purpose is a heartfelt attempt to unite all polarities into a blueprint for the future of living. It’s an enquiry and profound calling to LIFE— which in nature is always about balance and wholeness.

The coherent thread is a deep calling towards health, sovereignty, self-actualisation, nature connection, as well as creating new socioeconomic systems, healing relationships and community dynamics, plus living in harmony with nature, restoring the land, growing one’s own food, and building homes that heal and work with the elements of one’s environment.

These things are core — to LIFE. To be complacent, accept the programming given to us by corrupt institutions, or not be interested in questioning, reimagining and reskilling ourselves in these things is to not choose, not serve, not be on the side of life.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a billionaire start up CEO or a 10+ year van lifer & environmentalist. It doesn’t matter if you’re a 50+ years hippy commune elder, or you’re a 20 year old influencer who’s never heard of Rudolf Steiner but wants to change the planet.

It is beyond any spiritual identity or lifestyle trend, and is rather about supporting all people to make incredibly challenging shifts in their lives in a way that is non-imposing.

The point of the mission is an invitation to transcend our differences and unite on what really matters: the inner work, learning to love and help one another, taking care of the living earth and ecosystems around us.

Each week, in our Heart Circle, it is this that is repeatedly felt — the profound beauty in the souls present, joining together in this enquiry.

Zach Bush’s talk at Neos Center last year is also must watch if you haven’t seen it. Deeply provocative, and emotional as it may be, he brings into perspective many great truths and startling realisations at the core of this extraordinary time.

Neos Experience Retreat - A w a k e n - March 5-8

In response to the huge volume of enquiries we receive, this Spring we begin hosting simple 4 day ‘lite’ retreats. They will run a few times per year, depending on demand.

Neos Framework & Creating Coherence

This year, we are gently beginning to intentionally curate facilitators and experiences at Neos Center that align with the core frequency of Neos, allowing coherence to deepen organically.

Our longer-term vision is to offer a constellation of programs and retreats that interweave three core dimensions: Self, Relational, and Environmental. These threads are first introduced through the four-day Neos Experience (Lite) retreat, and will be explored more deeply within the nine-month Leadership Program currently in development.

We are also committed to seeing this framework reflected across the retreats and courses hosted at Neos Center from this year onward. For example, (In) Flux by Micaela may not be as intensive as some of the relational skills trainings we plan, yet its exploration of personal and collective space is deeply aligned with this dimension — and forms an important part of the wider tapestry we are cultivating.

Building coherence generally underpins everything we’re up to here. Starting from scratch, we are working through every system and domain to build coherence with our values and mission, from the densest level, e.g. the cow management, to the most etheric level: the energetic field.

Dear Community,

If you’ve been following Neos for a while, you’ll know that there are major themes that we continually bring awareness to, such as:

• Initiatory leaps requiring an ‘ego death,’ next-level surrender, or rebirth.

• Visionary dedication to a purpose-driven path of serving humanity in the highest way possible.

• Integration of experiential wisdom pools for the most (w)holistic path forward — or sometimes the middle path / the ‘third way.’

Whilst building Neos Village and Center is our particular focus, these themes are nonetheless universal for everyone on a truly conscious life path. Thus, beyond the specific manifestation of Neos, it is our intention to bring resonance and inspiration to everyone on such a journey through life.

This is our first newsletter in 6 months nonetheless, because upon successfully purchasing and permanently moving onto the land in summer, we entered one of the most challenging periods of our lives.

Using the analogy of parenthood, the baby was born and we were thrown into exhausting days and restless nights, caring for a newborn that constantly demanded everything from us. Never had either of us been so deeply ‘on track’ in our lives - and equally never so challenged!

The shedding, the surrender, the diving deeply within for new strength, new clarity, ‘new ways of being’ continues, and will always continue, because this is the real work — not the external Neos, but the internal one — the New Earth Operating System being built inside of us all as we listen to this call from deep within the human soul.

This approach to life continues to be our most meaningful USP in fact for anyone considering to join Neos Village:

Many ‘similar’ new community projects gloss over this. Some are more commercially driven, selling a perfect image being projected by the marketeers. Others are more community-led, decentralised from the get go, and rapidly devolve because until structure, policy, and practices for dealing with power dynamics and financial stability have been established, it is simply a theatre of psychodynamics hidden behind the yearning to belong. Many still dream of community being created this way, but it is rapidly dying out because it simply doesn’t work.

Challenges are unlimited, and the vision is huge. We’ve always been committed to being fully authentic and heart-led, whilst creating professional structure for a solid foundation.

Become part of Neos Village in 2026

Currently we are working in a stage by stage process with multidisciplinary teams to integrate all ‘voices’, e.g. local governmental bodies, land regeneration, agricultural abundance, quality of infrastructure and facilities, the vision, and listening to the flow of the land herself.

In 2026, we will present the second major phase to become a ‘Neos Villager.’* In contrast to the first rounds, this will offer a clear and full picture, revealing the true unprecedented value of this opportunity.

• See the full masterplan of the whole village: natural features, roads, community spaces, kids project, wellbeing, educational and healing facilities, housing clusters, equestrian center.

• Choose your exact location: e.g. the view, being in a hilltop or valley, proximity to natural features such as the lake or river, proximity to facilities such the education project, the southern entrance, the northern wellbeing facilities.

• General Manager — someone multi-skilled and extremely experienced to oversee the general management of the Center and operations. Ideally Portuguese with a strong work ethic and ability to execute in a dynamic environment.

• Events Team — skilled and self-leading experience designers, operational masters and marketing story tellers. People who are highly professional, capable, and committed.

• Volunteers — stay for a week and help out with simple tasks around the property, such as cooking, laundry, maintenance jobs, land work, or something more specialist.

The ‘Neos Experience’ and other events

Each afternoon is a facilitated workshop on key aspects of becoming the ‘new human’ capable of stewarding the next culture with authentic self-leadership, energetic awareness, and social dynamic skill.

Neos·life is again at a pivotal moment in its development. After hosting our first retreat and converting the existing spaces into a beautiful retreat center, we are due to repay the bridge loan that generously enabled us to acquire the land in the first place.

We are looking for our next residents to invest €100k towards a €200k lot. The first ten will be able to join us for an intimate weekend with Zach Bush here at Neos·life in August.

Masterplanning under way

We’re excited to share a major milestone in the evolution of Neos Village:
We will be working with world-renowned EDSA — edsaplan.com — to lead the masterplanning of our entire village, beginning in August.

EDSA is one of the most respected and visionary design firms in the world. With a 60+ year legacy of shaping regenerative communities, cultural destinations, and nature-integrated resorts across the globe, they specialise in projects that balance ecology, social connection, and long-term livability.

Their portfolio includes award-winning work in Costa Rica, Morocco, the Caribbean, and dozens of other world-class sites — always weaving in local culture, natural beauty, and deep sustainability.

In three months, the land will no longer be abstract — it will be intelligently, beautifully designed: walkable, sacred, integrated, and clear in what each homesite offers. At this point, lot prices will increase accordingly — rising into their true, premium value.

And here's where we are right now:

To repay a bridge loan by the beginning of August, we have just 8 days left to offer an unprecedented opportunity.

Until July 31st, we still have a number of future lots available at exceptional value. Who are our community?

Last week we welcomed 25 guests to Neos Center for an experiential training retreat by Dr. Nader Butto, a world-renowned cardiologist, scientist and spiritual teacher. It was a push to prepare the Center in time, but it was worth it to see the happiness of the participants. Here’s some feedback:

10th August Event with Zach Bush MD

Next month, Zach Bush — friend and Neos supporter — is coming to Neos Center for an intimate activation of the vision on this land. Whilst it is customary for a project like this to have a big launch event, Zach’s intimate activation is in keeping with our values of authenticity, simplicity, and the highest vibration — to honour the spirit and intelligence of the land, to weave our intentions to restore our natural blueprint as a response-able keystone species on this rapidly transforming Earth.

The 4-hour experience on August 10th will be open to a special intimate group of 60 people and will involve guided meditation journeys, sonic healing and breath work, a life changing talk with integrated Q&A.

As we attended Unicorn Summit last week, I noticed two things:

1. Our endless thirst for knowledge

2. Our belief that technology can solve our problems

When I attended Singularity University in 2010, I could not have imagined a more exciting place to be. Nestled on the NASA Ames Research Center next to Google’s headquarters in Paolo Alto, eighty of us from across the world and across disciplines from rocket scientist and AI researcher to serial entrepreneur and activist spent ten weeks learning about exponentially developing technologies and looking for ways to leverage them to solve humanity’s biggest problems (hunger, poverty, water, etc.).

Fifteen years later and a decade of questioning everything I used to believe, I’ve come to see the world and what is needed very differently — which is what led to the creation of Neoslife.

While technology has the potential to reduce our problems, it seems not really to have been very effective at doing so.

What dawned on my journey from technocrat to wisdom seeker is that technology is simply a tool and how we use it decides its impact.

Many if not all of our problems are not due to a lack of technology but a lack of consciousness.

Meaning: Global poverty and hunger are a result of our systems, incentives and power structures. Africa is rich is resources but poor because the West meaning Western economies and leadership wants its resources cheaply. Imperialism 2.0.

Longevity: We seek to live longer/forever because we lack the understanding that life is simple a blip in our existence between physical birth and death. Expanded states of consciousness helped me understand what spiritual texts have been telling humanity since the dawn of time.

The Third Way: A new era of wisdom

The world is in the process of waking up. Which means we’re starting to see through the lies and illusions, the stories we were told and we keep telling ourselves.

Waking up can be a difficult process but it’s desirable and ultimately inevitable.

As a result, we are in the process of discovering the Third Way. What do I mean? The brain and therefore life on earth are driven by duality: Hot and cold. Good and bad. Rich and poor. Science and spirituality. It’s one or the other.

What we’re in the process of learning is to comfortably hold two seemingly opposing principles without needing it to be one or the other. It’s the union of heart and mind, left and right brain, body and spirit, nature and technology, feminine and masculine that unleashes magnificence and cosmic harmony.

This is what sages have tried to convey for eons but their message was hijacked and distorted by institutions including the world’s religions: Christ consciousness is reclaiming our higher consciousness through the transcendence of separation and duality into the union of the seemingly opposing.

It’s impossible to describe something non-dual through a tool (language) that is born out of duality. We don’t have the vocabulary for it but we can understand by experiencing it. Neoslife’s mission is to create an environment, culture and community to empower just that — we call it:

‘A new way of being’

How do you explain the look, feel and taste of an Orange to someone that has never seen one? A bit like an Apple, sweeter, softer, … you can’t.

Karen and I are looking forward to talk (and write) less and invite you instead to experience what we have been working on since the inception of Neoslife.

Summer Action in Paradise

The last 4 weeks of being on the Neos land has been an intense period of action and transformation to make the place guest-ready after our yearlong Phase 0 marathon of being suspended in the void of uncertainty.

Whilst we have been in awe at the utter tranquility of the place — just the birds’ morning chorus is enough of a reason to come here — embodying what we stand for in creating a living model for a ‘new way of being’ now suddenly has new physical dimensions to it.

Life is emerging. Clearing the old. Building the new. Transitioning. Remodelling. Welcoming new people and energies, whilst weaving necessary bridges with the old. It is a celebration of creation and all this entails.

The heat and long days (happy solstice) bring even more energy and intensity to the beginning of this ‘Phase 1’ where many exciting developments are happening faster than we can share! We also welcomed a wonderful new team member as our property and hospitality manager.

No matter what scale or dimensionality is happening in our lives, our projects, our missions, our invitation continues to remain:

• Will we stand for a new paradigm or stay enslaved to the old?

• Will we lead from heart-intelligence and service to life or the programmed mind?

• Will we hold true to our authenticity, highest principles and vision, or be held hostage by the weapons of fear, guilt and shame?

Any notions of ‘once we have the land we can relax a little more’ got rapidly swept under by an increased demand upon our time and energy — yet with this is the even greater invitation to be the calm peaceful centre of everything.

We constantly have the choice to be consumed by life, driven by the unconscious urge to control every outcome and manage everything that comes at us — or — trust only in the current of what is moving us from within.

The latter involves being unmoved by the waves, because you trust the wisdom of the deep ocean. But for this we need to be united with our true self, its path and purpose. We need to attune to the quantum. This is the real work.

We also experienced the joy of welcoming some of our first Village Co-Owners, who stayed with us for a few days. We celebrated this first gathering over Solstice, and experienced the beauty and kindness of community — everyone was determined to help out in some way!

And now we can announce the next round open for new village members to join the family!

Home-Owner Deck

A week ago exactly, we signed the deed, moved onto the Neos land, and were catapulted into the next phase of neos·life — the baby is born and with barely a moment to celebrate, now the ‘real’ work begins, and immediately!

Our days are currently filled with endless meetings and decisions — like what to do with 200 cows and how to ensure they have enough food for the season, and how to get planning permission in time for EU grant submission.

But let’s back up for a moment!!!

This newsletter was either going to be one reflecting on the insights and lessons learnt from succeeding in fundraising for the land acquisition — or of not succeeding.

Yet the insights from either outcome are equally relevant/irrelevant because on the consciousness expansion path there are no mistakes and what seems like failure is only a redirection to further expansion.

Is there a more beautiful way of being, than that your intention is never a particular outcome, but rather only to be the vessel for the work of Source? To let go of all other stories except that you are consciousness fully experiencing each scintillating moment? This is our path.

It was a year of intense pressure and roller coaster twists and turns. We even lost a being we dearly loved just before the completion. And with attempts to possibly scam us, being let down, and all manner of challenges, it truly was a Hero’s Journey for both of us.

We literally poured everything into this project, and in this process of unconditional all-in giving amidst relentless challenges, were carved into much wiser, softer, and wider spirited beings than before — and so, we would have trusted any outcome, and it is ultimately this, we believe, that deems us worthy stewards of this vision.

For as we have attempted to convey all along, this isn’t an ordinary holistic retreat centre / regenerative project / eco community. It holds a different purpose— certainly scale, and only the kind of people that some would consider utterly crazy are devoted and tenacious enough to be ‘chosen for the job.’

I would often note a certain look on the faces of founders I met of significant projects — Mac Macartney from Embercombe, and Clare Dubois of TreeSisters to name a couple. It is a look of having seen, felt and been through far more than they ever conceived possible at the start of their journeys to create such projects.

We are actually only beginning, and yet I suspect we already have that look in our eyes. But there is a beauty in that look, a light that shines in a way it can never do from a life within one’s comfort zone.

One thing is for sure, we couldn't have done it without the support and teamwork from the incredible beings working with us on all planes and levels, not to mention the brave future village residents who trusted their intuition to join at this stage.

The news of the bridge loan to carry us across the threshold also came on the eve of the anniversary when Vincent and I had our very first zoom meeting a year ago — the perfect anniversary gift and wink from ‘the universe’ at our union.

We invite you to pause and breathe with us.

So many big visionary projects have failed to make it this far, and the very first thing we would give guidance or encouragement on to those seeking it for their own visionary ambitions is written in these passages. Can you surrender to the grace of giving and holding this much?

For those eager to learn from our journey, here’s some of our top insights and lessons from the past year:

Insights and Lessons

• Trust and act on what is core to the vision — don’t get held hostage by apparent limitations. Community was so core to the vision yet we delayed leaning into it because of perceived deadlines that in the end were constantly extended.

• Don’t allow yourself to be taken hostage by anything. Every time we compromised — (especially when it comes to money or people) instead of honouring deep alignment we wasted valuable time and energy.

• Trust your intuition and follow your YES. Many people said we shouldn’t be investing in architecture etc. already but we were just allowing all the jigsaw pieces to come together for this moment now when it is immediately needed.

• Don’t avoid the most grounded approach just because it’s about the ‘spiritual vision’. We would probably expand on the development plan, business plan, and take more of a real estate approach from the start if we did it over again.

• If it’s truly your blueprint — truly aligned with your whole being, rather than just something you’re generally aligned with or think is a good idea — don’t give up. Be persistent and trust the higher powers working through you.

• Face the most uncomfortable questions and recognise the mirrors in your own movie. Life will always provide them and the signs will only increase if you don’t pay attention.

  • For example, more than once we were asked, “why is it so hard to receive the needed funds, when you have so many millionaires and billionaires in your network that seem somewhat aligned to the vision?”

  • Then at one point we were pressed to answer if we will compensate ourselves for our time so far. Despite advocating having other people’s energy rewarded, in our ‘devotion’ we never once thought or spoke about our own compensation. How could we RECEIVE when all we were set on doing was giving? This is martyrdom and belongs in the old paradigm.

• Never underestimate the power of humility and sincerity. Even if people aren’t visionary new paradigm builders, they still respond to an honest heart. We wrote a heartfelt letter to the sellers at one point — against the advised norm — that moved them and their advisors so much they started rooting for us as well.

  • On another occasion I sensed that for the sellers to give us more time it would be essential that we allow them to vent and express their anger and frustration, and that we should gracefully welcome it.

• Ignore the critics. As Brene Brown said, those who have never stood in the fire are not qualified to give their opinions. It’s not about hating back, but rather not giving any energy to people who prefer to criticise others who are walking through the fire to create something to lift humanity over doing it themselves.

  • When creating something so big and potentially difficult, it is more important than ever to find and associate yourself with the people who light you up, that hold you to higher possibilities, that fill a gap in your world that is essential for your of wholeness.

  • Many people can offer criticism. Only some is actually helpful — discern the difference.

  • Not everyone will understand why you’re doing it the way you’re doing it and it’s not your job to explain it to them. Let go of caretaking others’ perceptions and expectations.

• It is generally assumed that a bigger team means you get more done. But more people — if not the perfect fit — can mean hours of unnecessary meetings and conversations. We got so much done precisely BECAUSE there was only two of us in the core team who are deeply aligned and therefore can work semi-independently.

• Our team were our:

  • Lawyers and Advisors (with whom Vincent spent the majority of his time jumping through impossible legal hoops to make this happen in this country).

  • Architects and Content Creators, helping us to communicate the vision.

  • Other-worldly mentors, especially Lisa Margulies — the one person in the world who could keep our compass set to North whenever we started to fall apart.

Completion of Phase 0

Ultimately some projects — when truly from the heart — are just divinely guided and even when it feels like mission impossible, it is your path to simply go through it.

Both Vincent and I each had areas to evolve through. We believe we were meant to go through this ‘schooling’ to initiate us for what is to come next.

As always in hindsight, maybe we could’ve been smarter about it, but we definitely shouldn’t have been any less crazy, determined, or intuitive.

We hope this can provide some inspiration to other new culture creators and new earth visionaries!

And so a new chapter begins, of co-creation and transformation. Very soon we hope to welcome you to a retreat or nature experience stay!

A shared purpose 

The purpose intended to unite those that live in the community, is for all living things to thrive together and self-actualize at the truest level of our blueprints.

Part of this is in embracing the enlightened yet embodied ways of nature and consciousness, cultivating health, enlivenment, empowerment, connection, purpose, creativity, and service to life.

Another is in bringing beauty and inspiration to others and ourselves. We therefore value aesthetics and conscious design in order to expand and elevate consciousness.

A further key is in the social design of the community, creating generous and regular training opportunities, containers of processes and practices (as we have begun with neos·academy).

We’re invited to do the work we’re inherently designed to re-member, and live as we were each divinely designed to live.

A Deeper Note on Sovereignty & Diversity

We aim to be a community of awakened, empowered, sovereign, authentic, heart-intelligent individuals who are creating something of benefit to future generations.

There are many communities that have a strong cultural identity, guru, or community ideology, communities that are designed by extroverts for extroverts, or people that don’t already have busy, purpose-driven lives. This is not sustainable for a diversity of people with families, businesses, that are well on their own purpose paths, or in unique and sensitive spiritual processes. 

We believe that everyone should live freely and joyfully, respected as empowered creators of their unique paths by the community. This means that each person has ample space within which to fully unfold and actualise, and that there are many community containers through which to expand or receive constructive support.

Here the whole purpose of ‘community’ is to support and uplift each other’s unique blueprint path and our collective amplified power, rather than hold each other back.

We are each striving to be highly responsible, committed, and brave, with a foundation of love and kindness towards all life, and celebrate these qualities over certain spiritual or intellectual qualities that can lose this foundation and feed a sense of superiority. 

Here everyone embraces a fundamental and profound understanding of the power dynamics underlying conflict and drama. Here we strive to give power to each other, not take power from each other. 

We understand that shifting from ‘me’ to ‘we’ is not about conformism. The base level of consciousness that each community member holds, is, “We are all different so conflicting ideas are inevitable. How can we create win-win solutions, so that we can live in harmony and each person is true to themselves?”

There is a striving for truth, through cultivating awareness, the process of enquiry, and an attitude of openness and curiosity.

Some people may live at the further edge of the community or need periods of deep solitude in the forest. Some people will want to live in the tree and others in a an open area. Some will want to live closer to each other and regularly eat and socialise together. Some need open bright spaces and others thrive in cosy intimate spaces.

We are overjoyed that in the past two weeks members of our community followed their ‘Yes!’ and stepped forward pledging more than €2 million.

As you know we are in a crucial moment, and need to provide the sellers a concrete plan/evidence asap. With around €1M pledged (confirmed after the initial €2.2M suggested by the poll), we need to find the remainder in the next day or two! We believe they will grace us til Monday if we are showing the pledges coming in.

Pledge Letter

Here’s a brief summary of points to clarify as succinctly as possible some of the important things you might be wondering about. Naturally each point opens further questions, hence the need for brevity, but our intention is to reach people that feel a natural alignment sufficient to feel comfortable to get in touch directly.

What happens once the land is bought?

Once the land is bought, two parallel processes will begin.

1 — Northern guest part: ‘The Center for a New Humanity.’

The Center, with it’s educational, healing and wellbeing mission, can begin operations immediately as we have existing structures and have invested much already, e.g. renovation plans, a management system, a calendar of retreats and regenerative programs. All founding members can begin to access this at a discount or free.

While we deeply welcome the spirit of co-creation and community involvement, the Center itself is not structured as a co-owned asset but rather will be stewarded by those with laser-focused alignment. Profits will be reinvested into the development of the Center (and wider village), and will eventually become a Foundation guided by a board of the highest expertise and moral alignment to the vision (e.g, Lisa Margulies — Vincent’s mentor, and Zach Bush MD are currently council member and will be increasingly involved).

It will deeply serve the residential community. Living adjacent to a thriving hub for healing, creativity, connection, and learning is not only an extraordinary lifestyle benefit — it also creates future opportunities for many residents to work, host events, and generate income through collaboration. We also invite other aligned purpose-driven entrepreneurs to create complementary businesses on the visitor (and residential) side of the land, e.g. the development of spaces for particular experiences or services.

2 — Southern part: Neos Village residential village

We’re now entering a phase of planning on many levels — from infrastructure to social and cultural life. As a co-owner of the southern land, you’re free to be as involved in collective decisions as you wish. Some may prefer to simply enjoy the space without taking part in the development, while others will feel inspired to contribute more actively.

This is what we mean by “community light” — a place where people can live in their own way, with freedom and privacy, as long as there's mutual respect. It’s this balance that makes the community emotionally sustainable and welcoming for all.

Let’s look at these levels:

Infrastructure planning:

We have already made a start to the land aspects with Ekogaio, our regeneration experts to locate the important areas for housing, agriculture, rewilding, and new roads. We’ve also spent time with multiple housing partners to explore housing designs that are biotonomous, modular, beautiful, simple to build.

Obviously this is all going to take a lot of time to both get full permission for and build, and is shaped by financial resources and the skills and involvement from the community. Meanwhile you can still be in a tiny house or other impermanent structure as you desire (we have two tiny houses to live in that take 3 months to build).

Fortunately this time can also be used to develop the social infrastructure of the community. We are excited for many campfires, hikes through the estate, and facilitated circles together!

The Center also assists this purpose, providing more context to meet — also for new potential community members to join us.

Social/cultural planning:

It is essential that we first get familiar and set our agreements on the Meta Level:

• Communication channel — for instance our existing app has the functionality of creating many types of groups. The app also has a lot of masterclasses to refer to for community building skills that was part of The New Earth School.

• Making decisions — e.g Sociocracy allows for fast decision making, whilst every person is valued.

• Meetings best practices — we will define all types of meeting, their rituals and facilitation methods.

• Conflict resolution — we will define our preferred conflict resolution practices and mediators, for which we have several partners already.

• Expertise — we will get to know each other and everyone’s areas of expertise and interest so that we can identify leaders and teams.

• Vision and cultural alignment — we will explore in depth the vision for the community culture, so that if anyone is not aligned at this stage they can exit early on. As the founding members, this alignment at the core level is vital, so we can lead by example for later members.

Once this foundation is laid, we will proceed with any and all decision making content to map out, structure and co-create over time, led by initiators and expertise, e.g. shall we build the School in location a, b, or c.

Pledge Letter

Pledge Financial Terms

We want to clarify again what we’re creating here is not an investment model with fixed financial returns (ROI). Instead, pledging €20k, €150k, or €1m is a commitment toward co-ownership — contributing to the collective purchase of land and, where applicable, the development of your home on that land.

Each pledge contributes toward something tangible — a share in the estate and/or a future home. The specific use-rights or allocations that correspond to your pledge will ultimately depend on the total costs involved and your final contribution. In short, the benefits scale with what you contribute.

For example:
If you pledge €200k and the portion of land you’d like access to live in is valued at €100k (it will be much more in the future, especially as the Center evolves and living at neos·life becomes ever more attractive; what we are offering now will be never again prices), the remaining €100k could be used to fund your home — whether that’s a simple cabin, an elaborate tiny house with a deck and a pool, or towards a 3 bedroom modular house. While the funds are initially used to secure the land, we are confident at raising additional capital (via bank loans, EU grants, new co-owners, development partners, etc) to support the homebuilding phase once the estate is acquired. Securing the land significantly strengthens our ability to unlock further resources.

If you pledge €20k, you can access a portion of land equivalent to that amount, and slowly increase it over the next few years.

Note — campsites can charge €10k annually for just the rental of a space. We do not want a big campsite, but just saying that €10k for lifetime co-ownership and homesite within an incredible setting is an extraordinary deal.

The specific location, size, and cost of each homesite will be determined during the development phase, following the acquisition of the land. This process involves carefully assessing the total available square meterage to accommodate approximately 200 homes within the most suitable areas, while preserving natural features such as existing trees and wild spaces. In addition, we will allocate dedicated areas for essential community infrastructure, including educational facilities, entrepreneurial spaces, creative studios, and venues for gatherings and events.

At that stage, we’ll work together with all co-owners to make fair and thoughtful allocations, taking into account each person's preferences and contribution.

If at any point a co-owner decides not to proceed, they can either:

1. Sell their share and allocated homesite to someone else, or

2. Request a refund, which we will aim to return as soon as it becomes realistically feasible based on available liquidity.

We also want to be transparent about why some terms may have felt vague up to now. It’s not because anything is hidden — quite the opposite. It’s because we value openness, flexibility and precision. Rather than locking in rigid or the wrong terms early, we’re intentionally creating space to co-design this, ensuring that the final agreements reflect everyone’s values and needs — while making sure that the principles and rules lead to a thriving and diverse community rather than a struggling one (learning from so many projects that either failed or succeeded due to a host of factors, including careful long-term planning).

Thank you for your heartfelt responses to our ‘Last Call’ newsletter sent yesterday — your support, both emotionally and financially means EVERYTHING to us.

The journey has been arduous — but feeling this unity brings us immediately closer to the experience of ‘well-being community’ that we are doing this for.

The amazing news is that if the poll stands correct, then at least €2.2M (out of a total of €3.1 needed) has been pledged so far from 23 people — but until we have direct (and further) commitments from people we’re not there yet.

There’s still a bridge to cross until all required funds have been successfully transferred to the sellers and the deed signed in time.

But assuming we have enough confirmations that the support and resources are available to do this together as a community, we now must move into rapid action.

Next Steps

With the previous poll, we cannot identify who made what pledge. Therefore, these next steps are super important:

1. Send us a direct message ASAP — To all those who made a pledge or want to make a pledge, confirm your intention and tell us the amount you can pledge (connect@neos.life)

2. Sign the Pledge Letter — With this we show the sellers ASAP that we are getting it together. You can see a draft letter here (we are putting it all together on the fly). We will follow up with a docusign link once we received your email.

3. Define the most simple contract — We’ll create a focused WhatsApp group for the purpose of clarifying this together (if you prefer to liaise 1:1 that’s fine too). We are available for as many group or 1:1 calls as necessary.

4. Collectively transfer funds — Ideally by Tuesday but we may be able to get away with later in the week.

5. Celebrate — Once we share the good news that the deed has finally been signed, we look forward to receiving you on the land where we can co-create the future.

And for those who haven’t yet made a pledge but are considering it, let us briefly recap again why you’d want to help save and be part of this beautiful village — we still need another €0.9M pledged!

Dear 4,292 strong Community,

We are faced with losing the neos·life land next week.

Over the past year, we have developed the project as if we had certainty, because there was a constant carrot hanging over us in the form of investors and loans (even this past week we thought we found the most aligned investor yet), and because our commitment was all in.

Yet we are now at the end, and this really is the end this time — the sellers have a competing buyer with whom they’re ready to hit the green light if we don’t provide a significant downpayment next week and a clear road to completion.

Why hasn’t it happened yet?

There are a million stories we can tell as to why. And no doubt people will conjure their favourite stories, but the truth is we just don’t know. There are a million reasons why it ‘should’ have happened so far too.

The easiest explanation is that this is a huge and special vision, one that despite obvious real estate upside, requires a similar purity and vastness of vision for a higher purpose.

We have deep respect for the energetics behind things, and when you’re seeking to create something at a new or higher level of energy than is familiar, it is common that you will meet a lot of resistance.

We experienced again and again that people didn't quite understand what we’re doing. Whilst to us it is simple, beautiful, and nothing could be more important in the world, for others it just doesn’t fit into a box they are comfortable with.

neos·life is a frequency. Frequency attracts like frequency — there’s nothing to judge here, for everyone is most at home in a different dimensional band.

But like the saying goes, ‘rejection is God’s protection’ — we’re not meant to be another soulless luxury “eco” housing development. We don't want to keep the project small. We don't want to conform to a specific ideology.

neos·life is a global model for a future we want to live in.

On three occasions we backed away from a deal as we sensed a scam or unethical money source at work.

Yet all of this is to blame external forces and we’d rather not do that. We’d rather stay in the embodiment of neos·life and be ok with the void of uncertainty, and celebrate everything that we’ve learned along the journey — which is A LOT (we will be sharing in future newsletters).

Yet where does this leave the beautiful offering to the world that is neos·life?

There is STILL A CHANCE that it could happen on this most ideal land that we invested huge resource into:

We are open to all suggestions and ideas, for example, someone else could acquire the land for the remaining €3M (at €0.75/m2) and allow 12-18 months of exploration together. After which if you want to be bought out we will have raised funds through EU grants, bank, community etc, otherwise you can sell at a profit. The land as is is worth at least €4.4M — as per three independent valuation reports.

Last week we drafted a newsletter to the community with a proposal to buy a homesite and become collective co-owners of the southern residential land, yet didn’t send it out because we knew that — quite rightly — people want precise clarity on all manner of things, that we cannot provide. You can read our draft here.

Right now, we are against the wall and exhausted. If any of you feels the impulse to help, to invest, to partner and make it happen in any way, then we invite you to get in touch ASAP - i.e this weekend. We may not have every answer, but we will give everything we have and are open to collaborating and figuring everything out together.

As a last possibility to make it happen, please let us know what you’d be ready to contribute towards a future home at neos·village — secured by the land. If there’s enough commitment, this could be the way of raising the necessary funds together with a lender or someone stepping in with a larger amount that neos·life needs.

How can we be so calm?

Are we not outraged, stressed, or grieved? The calm is authentic — we have too much trust in Greater Consciousness to resist what is or isn’t meant to be.

We are receptive for miracles to happen, and still exploring every possibility til the very last moment, yet if it doesn’t happen, the spirit of neos·life will shake itself off and be receptive to what DOES want to happen. We’re excited for and trusting of that.

Right now we feel blessed to be sitting in a beautiful garden filled with the scent of orange blossom and a symphony of birdsong, feeling the warmth of the sun, and know that in hindsight everything will become clear.

This is the magic of what neos·life is actually about — creating a beautiful life within which you cannot be rocked, because you have faced your fears, let go of anything that blocks your true essence, expanded and risen, resilient and victorious in alignment with the higher forces of love and wisdom.

It is beyond a particular structure or village; again it is a frequency — yet wouldn’t a village facilitate and provide a model of living for this so powerfully!?

We know that many of you have deeply understood the value and importance of this vision since the start. Many people around the world are ‘tapping into the same source,’ receiving the same radio frequency, and we know that at some point there will be enough movement for this kind of vision to take root and flourish all over the globe.

Power is the hidden energetic lifeblood that determines how we show up in every social dynamic or community. We are all sensitive to it, whether we realise it or not; just like we are all intuitive but most people are conditioned to not even recognise it.

People are chronically disempowered. We’ve been disempowered throughout every stage of life, and possibly suffered some severe power losses from traumatic events along the way.

Yet whilst we typically think of power as negative, and prefer the word ‘empowerment,’ the fact is, healing— which is the return to wholeness, could also be defined as the retrieval of one’s rightful power.

That each person reclaims their full rightful power — meaning their life force energy, their authenticity, their unique creativity, their sovereignty, their intuition and self-leadership capacities, and their wholeness — is absolutely core to the new humanity and therefore new earth we are creating.

The truth is, we are limitless, infinitely powerful beings, yet through the stories and fears we have accepted as ‘life’ and our identity, we give our power away, and then try to gain it back— hence the business of wellness and personal transformation.

Some people of course, opt towards gaining it through other people. But needing a supply of others’ attention, sympathy or energy does not provide any valuable actual healing, but rather creates deeper crevasses in the fabric of what was once whole.

I have been working with clients regarding issues of power for over 20 years. I’m very attuned to even its most innocent, subtle forms.

On a day to day basis in even simple, innocent conversations, this can look like energy vampirism or control. On a more malign level, this can act out as cult leaders drinking up the power and attention they get from their community. Just yesterday, I heard about another example in the founder of a huge global dance and healing movement.

I’ve met a good few of these ‘healers’ through being part of an extensive spiritual community for over 12 years.

The Penan Tribe

One of the most passionate and moving Masterclass Series’ I produced for the Academy was with Bruce Parry — a British television hero most famous for his BBC series, ‘Tribes’ and ‘Arctic’. He then became an independent documentary maker, filming ‘Tawai’ after he discovered the Penan tribe.

“Ultimately, every other group of people I have ever met in my life, exists in societies of competition, hierarchy and ownership. The Penan, (and the tiny handful of other remaining egalitarian societies), do not.”

Living in true, total peace and harmony in society is possible, but only through genuine realisation of what power actually is, and the commitment to our own healing— as well as no longer feeding power play in others.

Power needs to be compassionately laid out on the table for everyone to see plainly and take radical responsibility for— both those who are in victim and give their power away, and those who consume it by controlling or eclipsing others.

Communities of Healing Leaders

For a team or community to become a group of coherent collaborating leaders that inspire one another, not deteriorate into passive submission, requires awareness and an intuitive balancing of the individual with the collective.

It has always been clear to both Vincent and I that we want neos·life to be populated and created by empowered, awakened, creative leaders. We want to be surrounded by people who inspire and do things even better than us. People we trust, because their hearts are totally aligned.

On the one hand, this sounds like decentralisation or a holocratic structure, yet issues can arise here too. For a sovereign creative person, who feels inspiration rise like a tidal wave of expansive life force, who thrives from giving expression to pure creative impulse in service to something far greater than him or herself — a true artist, having to operate within the limitations of a group can sometimes leave one feeling uninspired, disempowered and bored.

In neos·life we are always operating at the peak of our individual sovereign creative inspiration - AND this is always and directly in service to what each other are doing. There’s no compromise on either side. It’s and plus and, win plus win.

It’s not that everyone should be acting independently irrespective of a collective purpose — that would be chaos. My message is simply that like Bruce Parry concluded, it is not possible to experience a truly harmonious community, without every person taking responsibility for their healing, and creating a culture where this is at the core— a culture to raise and balance each other.

At the heart of neos·life is the simple, courageous practice of sitting with oneself, or sitting with another, feeling every emotion passing through even the most painful triggers, and enquiring with loving compassion:

“How have I given my power away here?

“What is there to appreciate about why my consciousness has chosen this experience?

“In what ways do I try to consume power or energy through strategies that avoid the truth?

“What do I need to see within myself that causes this pattern to keep showing up in my movie?”

When Karen and I first met over a Zoom call, we immediately recognised that we’re of the same cut with the same mission. We never needed to explain, discuss or align on neos·life or otherwise. As Karen says: we have the same blueprint.

Before starting neos·life, I was on a decade long seeking journey of healing and understanding myself and the world. I have been working hard at uncovering what is really going on here to ultimately find out what life is all about. And then, boom, overlooking the land for the first time in late October 2023, everything fell into place.

We don’t choose our blueprint and therefore our life’s mission and purpose. We also don’t find it. We’re born with it. It is innate to us. But we can’t force its emergence rather it is a continuous process of discovery and peeling the layers of what we’re not — thereby allowing our true selves to come through.

As Michelangelo said: (parenthesis added by me)

The closer we get into alignment with our blueprint, the more we come into flow with life and the more life starts to make sense. That doesn’t mean that it gets easier, likely it will first become more difficult as we need to untangle our old life like moving on from relationships, jobs, homes, clients or friends.

Sometimes we have to let go or even destroy everything we’ve built to free the sculpture that was hidden inside all along patiently waiting. This can be frightening at first but the life we forge as a result is infinitely worth it because it is who you really are.

For something new to be born, something else, something we are not needs to first die. Dying is so damn uncomfortable. No one likes to die. And death in Western culture is deeply tabooed. So much that when we joke about dying, people look at you as if something is wrong with you.

Maybe this is the first death we need to die as a culture: The fear of death. Because death in the physical sense really is liberation and our return to our true, infinite and eternal consciousness self.

As the Eleusinian Mysterious in Ancient Greece already taught:

If this sounds crazy then we invite you to experience our Awakening program.

In other words: to attain true freedom and transcendence, we must let go of who we think we are, our ego, our identity, the thing that is afraid of dying.

When you realise that you won’t die when you die — yes, your body will but the consciousness that you really are is not but released and freed again — then

As Mark Twain said:

The most important days in your life are the day you’re born and the day you find out why.

When you are ready to sincerely ask that question, the journey of discovering your true self begins. And if you keep going despite all the fears and obstacles that it may present, you’ll remember why you came here in the first place, ‘rediscover’ your purpose and the profound meaning and beauty of life.

This is the mission of neos·life: to empower us to remember — and thereby to be reborn. And when we do, all separation dissolves and we experience heaven on earth.

At every junction so far — every time a deadline neared and wasn’t met and we secured an extension, we asked, ‘What more do we need to shift within ourselves to become the vibrational match for what we want?’ And more recently, ‘What do we need to see within ourselves as to why we are choosing this experience?’

And each time we dared to invite more expansion, we broke through another ceiling, another layer, to a new level of healing and capacity. Like in a video game, we have been reclaiming more and more of our powers.

Because we are choosing this. Not consciously of course, but the alchemical key is to make it conscious. There is something about the prolonged experience of ‘not making it yet’ (before we finally do), that has in fact been benefiting us — and also the project itself.

How could neos·life possibly benefit from this?

Appreciating the threat of losing everything

As you know, Vincent has invested huge sums of money into this project — enough that would cause any normal person to have a breakdown if they risked losing it. And at this very moment, he is needing to contribute all he has left. I also personally invested all of my money into the project that merged with neos·life (the academy). This was not nearly as much as Vincent, because I didn’t have as much, but when you don’t have that much and you give it all, it’s just as poignant.

Yet for me it’s not just the money, because I've never been focused on money, but more the time and energy of dedicating my life force for years, being constantly in and out of burn out.

As you’ll know from previous newsletters, a big part of our journey has been the art of surrender and letting go. Yet there’s more to how we have transformed in the past 9 months:

When Vincent and I met and joined forces, we would still experience stress and anxiety, still fall into blame and frustration towards the world, and, within that wonderful high pressure cocktail that includes living and working together, occasionally come into conflict with each other, triggering each other’s old traumas. All great stuff.

Now, despite the risks getting higher and higher, instead of full stress there is a slight tremble before more calm. Instead of blame at the world, there is looking within ourselves. And instead of conflict with each other or trauma reactivation, there’s just more personal responsibility, appreciation, and trust.

The shift that has happened lies in anchoring in the realisation that the world out there is just a reflection, a projection, of what is within us, and, that from the perspective of your consciousness, there’s no ‘bad’ experiences.

Now this needs a lot more unravelling that is beyond the scope of this newsletter, but essentially, when you are no longer reactive to what your ego considers ‘bad,’ you reclaim your power from it because you no longer run from it, and thus you are set free. The magical thing is that at that point it stops showing up in your life.

The continuous expansion of capacity

Capacity is the gift this has brought to us regarding neos·life.

Many communities fail or are extremely challenged by the politics, drama and conflicts that cypher much the creative energy from a project. If the power play of social dynamics isn’t enough, then unprepared for financial stress, dealing with legal issues, managing a thousand and one projects simultaneously and so on can break a set of founders’ well intentioned dreams.

Whilst we obviously don’t expect everyone who becomes a part of neos·life to be free of their reactions and projections, at the very least, we, as core blueprint holders, need to be able to have the capacity to hold everything and deal with all conflicts gracefully.

Actually we don’t ‘need to’ — if we exploded into chaos that would also be an interesting life experience, but not one we intend to manifest for neos·life :)

This journey has been propelling us to a point where we can remain in a state of serenity and trust no matter the intensity of what is unfolding around us, and respond with compassion in the face of someone else’s reaction to us instead of taking it personally.

This training is utterly priceless and not something one can find or ‘buy.’

Only something that you feel called to from the depth and full expanse of your heart and soul can motivate such rapid and profound personal transformation. For some people it is a lifetime mission project like this, for others it is a life-threatening illness, or a huge loss like their home burning down, or losing a person you love.

When your heart has a calling for consciousness expansion and self-mastery, you will surely manifest the circumstances to ‘force your hand’ - and I guarantee you that you will be grateful for them in the end.

No matter what happens in our lives, when we see from the ‘I’ / eye of consciousness, it is all a truly remarkable experience to feel nothing but gratitude and awe for.

We simply wish to continue on this journey, continue expanding our capacity to feel appreciation and peace, and to share it with everyone who finds their way to us.

When people learn about neos·life and hear that I’ve invested most of what I have without knowing whether we will ultimately succeed, I am often met with a puzzling face. Why would anybody take such a risk?

Truth is, we live in the world we live in, because not enough of us take bold action. It is human nature to follow the safe, certain and comfortable path. We are wired to avoid pain and maximise pleasure.

However, the price we pay following these primal instincts is that we end up living ordinary lives in a mediocre world. Yet, this is not why we are here.

The very purpose of the human journey is to expand, to go beyond one’s comfort zone and create a new version of oneself over and over again. Undoubtedly, this can be an exhausting process and I am the first one to say, sometimes I wish I had a break.

But then I remind myself that this is not really true. Yes, I’d love a break at times and I often wish the journey would be easier but what makes the journey so powerful and transformative is the very nature of it being difficult.

There is no growth or transformation in the mundane and comfortable because there is no reason to evolve. If we are not challenged, we have no reason to change. It’s the most basic law of nature.

The reason so many are wondering what the purpose of life is and why it doesn’t excite one anymore or why we wish we could escape from our routines is because we have forgotten what it means to be alive.

We are in this experience to follow our heart not our mind. Our reptilian mind is just here to keep us safe and cozy while our heart is here to help us fulfil our mission, our life’s purpose.

There’s a deep calling in every single one of us. While we can drown out its sound with the busyness, distractions and escapes we have created for ourselves, it is always there until the day we die.

And so we have to ask ourselves: Who am I? Why am I here? What is the reason for my existence? And when we thereby start hearing the sounds of our hearts again, we have to have the courage to follow its calling, unconditionally and with unwavering conviction.

When we do, we can move mountains and life becomes an exciting, exhilarating adventure again. There is no routine or ordinariness in following your heart. It will throw challenges over challenges at you but none of them will ever be too big for you to take.

And so with less than two weeks for our final deadline to acquire this land and the continuous uncertainty whether or not it will get done, I have no regrets for all the money, time and effort we put into it.

We might lose it all but at least I have been true to my heart, we have given our calling an opportunity to manifest a new vision for the world. Many of you are following our journey and some have stepped up and supported it financially or otherwise — we are deeply grateful to you!

It can be a lonely path at the frontier of working on a higher purpose. And yet the longer I walk it, the more I recognise this is the only way I want to live. When I will be leaving this planet, I know I have given it my all.

And so I will close my eyes with a smile, in gratitude for every challenge I faced that made me become a better version having allowed myself to go all-in on life. No opportunity was wasted.

And if it’s aligned with the universe’s plan, we will soon be able to welcome you to neos·life village showing the world how we can all live extraordinary lives together.

Progressing on all fronts

Meanwhile, to give us the possibility of ‘hitting the ground running’ there are plenty of exciting preparations and developments:

• We are making reservations with various retreat leaders for 2025 up to 2027, and applied to regenerative festival for 2026 that would bring 4,000 people onto the land with the purpose of helping us to transform it.

• We have been approached by potential collaborators to develop our organic, no waste farm from which we will be feeding everybody at neos·life.

• We will be exploring joining forces with two new potential core operational team members next month who have the perfect combo of competency and shared vision.

• We are finishing our development plans for the first phase of hotel, retreat and event center. Here are the latest pictures of the neos·life community space, a 100m2 multi-purpose room, and the future bedrooms.

• We also have a new logo, a new website as well as our retreat website - better reflecting our identity as a place for ‘a new way of being’. The sun within the vesica pisces symbolises the awakening or rebirth, from the union of masculine and feminine energies and the transcendence of duality.

What’s next?

We are praying that the full financing will come together this month so that we can begin welcoming you to our little peace of heaven this summer.

‘What a pleasure!’ is how we are meant to respond to anything that triggers or challenges us according to the Kabbalah. We are thereby transforming the energy behind the seemingly negative by recognising the teaching that is embedded within it for our personal and spiritual growth.

Note for some readers: We are not Jewish, just as whilst referring to ‘Christ Consciousness’ in our last newsletter, we are not Christian either. Rather, we draw from the highest and most inspiring aspects from all mystical and wisdom traditions in our enquiries into the nature of consciousness, the universe, and the human soul.

Over the past 15 months, there have been a lot of moments that challenged us while building neos·life. With the benefit of hindsight, I can see how they helped us in the transformation that was necessary to be able to build neos·life with a truly new way of being.

One of the biggest transformations I personally had and continue to have to go through, has been my relationship with money. To keep the project going required more and more financial resources while it continued to be uncertain whether it would ultimately get done.

One really needs deep conviction to keep going when rationality and fears present endless reasons to give up. And then there’s faith: This has been the biggest gift of all the struggle, the certainty that it will ultimately get done without knowing exactly how and when.

These are the moments when the spiritual teachings are put to the test. It’s beautiful to talk about trusting, manifesting and surrendering but when you are asked to pour all your money into one thing without any certainty of it working out, that’s an entirely different story.

It’s been an intense journey to say the least. It forced us to not just to explore but to become the new human being that we envisage to empower through neos·life. And not at some point in the future, when we are ‘ready’, but right now. Part of this process has been to having to continuously let go of the security blanket of money so that something greater can be birthed.

All the spiritual training I have gone through over the past decade is being put to the test. It seems the universe is asking: How much do you really want it? Are you willing to give your everything to this vision?

Karen and I often asked ourselves why it had to be so hard and difficult. What keeps us going is that this is the most important thing we could be doing and that really there’s nothing else for us to do. If it requires everything we’ve got to get it done so be it. In hindsight this will be a small price to pay for creating a new vision for the world.

AI and robots are bringing in the biggest transformation humanity has ever gone through. No one is prepared for what is about to happen next.

Everything is changing — except humanity: We continue to play the old power and control games of corruption, moral decay, power abuse, nepotism, epidemics, the worship of money, mental and physical health decay, natural and man-made disasters — the matrix we live in is so broken, it seems beyond repair.

And our antidote is neos·life: To show ourselves and the world that there’s a better way: To work together rather than against each other. That there are more important things than money. That life has a deep purpose and that we are all here for a reason and that the beauty we are all seeking is to be first created within, if we are to truly see it outside.

We need to build light houses that do not preach these principles but embody them. Places that inspire people not through arguments or logic but through experiences that are beautiful beyond anything they have ever lived. Where we come together to create magic — because this is what we are: Magical, otherworldly beings that are powerful creators beyond measure.

We create our world from moment to moment. If we all decided to change the world today, it would change today. Anything we can imagine, we can create. Only as long as we think a better world is a utopia, it stays utopia.

The people in power are lost and confused at best or nefarious at worst. But what we can’t change (other humans) shouldn’t be our focus. It only makes us feel powerless. Dear Community,

At this most divine time of the year we are invited into the fertile, rich darkness of silence and stillness to rekindle the light of the greater, higher truth that is the Sun / Solar Center / Son — who will resurrect in Spring.

The Solstice and the 12 Holy Nights are offered to us to receive the most profound gifts of our spiritual awakening, and transform within the fire of Christ Consciousness — the ‘Divine Child.’

This is a gift of the purest love, which can only be experienced when we create space and silence to enter the infinite source of our consciousness, and clear away the illusory mind fabric of Maya that keeps us ensnared in thought systems sponsored by fear.

It’s for this reason that we haven’t written updates for a while — our energy has been turning inwards. As a mystic, I truly honour this sacred moment of the year, where the alchemy of consciousness, light and dark are themes for enquiry.

A new operating system

This winter solstice marks exactly 12 years since the birth of the ‘New Time Energy’ on the planet, during the solstice of December 21, 2012 ( — alchemically, 12 is an important milestone).

Since that moment, the operating system of every child being born on the planet has a deeper inner balance of light and dark, feminine and masculine energy, and a vaster influx of their ‘spirit energy’ integrated into their cellular structure. They also have a stronger presence of both love and boundaries, expressed from their equally strong, purpose driven, will.

You may have also experienced more of this kind of ‘new energy.’ Does this resonate with you, beyond the beliefs of your mind?

Why balance and unification? What many people don’t realise is that too much light can be destructive just as darkness can actually be loving. Too much light is acidic and can burn through matter and burn us out. Darkness is rest, the primordial fertility of the womb and the soil, as well as boundaries and protection.

Our task is not to feed polarity by quickly labelling something as light or dark, good or bad, but rather to draw everything out of shadow, and into awareness and actions that move us towards a paradigm of unconditional love, joy, and sovereignty.

Light and Darkness are both essential for this task — the only task that really matters for all of us at this time on Earth; why we chose to have this experience…

And that is to radically and profoundly shift out of the thoughtware, the scripts, the beliefs, the programming that we are living our lives by, which keeps us entrenched in an illusory and infinitely smaller version of WHO WE TRULY ARE.

The I AM

Let us be even clearer about this. For as someone who has been deeply engaged with this path for over 20 years, challenging our thoughts and beliefs can sound like rudimentary level work. The invitation is to go much deeper.

For example, the Course in Miracles offers that every single thought is either sponsored by love or fear. The former will attract miracles, and the latter will deflect miracles.

Do you consider anything more important than cultivating miracle mindedness as a daily practice?

All of our man-given concepts, from ‘time’ itself, to the common narrative of a human life (e.g. birth > school > training > work > retirement > deterioration > death), are false constructs, hallucinations — from the perspective of ultimate consciousness.

Focusing on oneself has been demonised as selfish (selfishness is a thing, but now it is common for any kind person to be afraid of appearing selfish), whereas the truth is that our only hope of resurrection is through the I AM — through each and every individual reawakening to their own unique blueprint and shedding the fake ‘I’ unto their Higher Self. Only this leads to real unity with everyone and everything else.

In every significant example, the truth has been inverted. Can you find other examples of truth inverted? In what ways does your ‘future’ or higher self invite you to question and enquire more profoundly now?

For this work of breaking out into our true multidimensional nature, the loving ‘darkness’ of willpower, clarity, discernment, boundaries — the power of our ‘NO’ — is as vital as the light of our inspiration, passion, joy and compassionate love.

This is the culture we will be fostering at neos·village — a place where each individual is supported to fully actualise into their I AM state of being. A place for and of awakening leaders of a beautiful, New Earth.

We are so excited for this journey to begin at this level, where every sincere heart is welcome to come to explore the depths of their soul, and what it means to be a thriving humanity.

Divine Detours

For those of you who are curious to hear our updates on neos·life, it is in this primordial space that we find ourselves.

Regarding securing ‘the promised land’ for neos·village, by grace we have a final two more months in which to complete. The cosmic joke is that it took several months to find an ideal investor, and when we believed we finally did in perfect timing to sign in December, circumstances beyond any of our control prevented the conclusion we all wanted.

Yet far from being frustrated, blaming the system, or stressing and imploding under pressure, a far more profound update is the expansion of ever deepening peace, trust, and devotion — to choosing love over fear — that we have experienced in the last seven months.

We simply know, that this journey is perfectly designed to carve us into the instruments we have signed up to be, in a way that possibly no other situation could so effectively have created. And so again, there is light in the darkness.

We offer the themes, points and reflections given here in service to those of you who value the sacred practice of radical self-enquiry, journalling, and the ritual of intention setting at the beginning of each year.

Besides creating neos·life, our intentions include that this year be infinitely more easeful, blissful and powerful for all of us regarding aligning ourselves and the world with the blueprint of Heaven on Earth.
